Introduction

The Course is organised by UniTo Law Department in collaboration with the University Institute of European Studies (Istituto Universitario di Studi Europei – IUSE).

The course is intended for Law Department students and it is part of a wider project aimed to develop and foster the English knowledge, as a key competence for future academic and international activities.

This course is focused on advocacy and communication skills. Other complementary activities will be soon launched.

What is Advocacy?

Advocacy: The act of pleading or arguing in favor of something, such as a cause, idea, or policy; active support.

What do communication skills have to do with advocacy?

Everything! In order to be able to influence decisions within political, economic, social and legal systems, effective communication skills are fundamental in being persuasive and determining change.
